13 Days Uganda, Gorillas, chimps, game drive
Day 1: Arrival, you will be picked up by a representative and be transferred to Silver Springs Hotel for resting. You will spend the day to yourselves or even changing money to buy souvenirs in your destination of visit. In the evening, Depending on your mood, you will be taken for cultural show with dinner served.
Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, briefing about the safari, Drive to Kibale via Mityana and Mubende. Lunch en route and continue to Fort portal reaching late afternoon. Relax at chimpanzee guest house. Dinner and overnight (Full Board).
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking.
After early morning breakfast, go for briefing at Kanyancu Tourist centre and make Payments before you proceed to the park. Go for Chimp tracking. Chimps are closest relatives of man and share a 98.7% DNA with humans. Tracking is an interesting activity which one cannot afford to miss. Return for lunch in time and after go for a village walk to Bigodi Swamp Eco site Sanctuary for More Primates and bird watching.
Overnight and dinner chimpanzee guest house. (Full board)
Day 4: Kibale / Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Wake up early morning and have breakfast then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route attractions such as the Toro Palace and stop over at the Equator. Take photos and enter the Park via the Kabatoro gate. Arrive early in time for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge (full board)
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park. Early morning game drive enables you to have a chance to see animals before they return to their hide outs. Return early for lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Watch out for a variety of Birds and aquatic life such as Hippos. They are usually referred to as a school of Hippos. In the evening relax at the lodge. Overnight Bush Lodge (full board)
Day 6 : Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the gorilla tracking tour. You will go through an alternative route with scenic view of cultivated hills by local communities. Explore the village and the native communities’ life style. Dinner and overnight at
Buhoma community rest camp. Full board.
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking. Take early morning breakfast and proceed to the Impenetrable forest
for gorilla tracking. Well equipped with your packed lunch, drinking water, rain jackets, cameras, long pair of trouser preferably khaki material and jungle boots on, you will convene at the starting points
for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience! The time to take to encounter these peaceful primates is unpredictable for it may take1-5 hours. Nevertheless, on
encounter, one may be forced to say, it is a worthwhile!!!! After the adventure a certificate awaits the successful tracker. The day is not easy at times and it may be strenuous and frustrating whilst trekking but appealing after encounters. Buhoma community rest camp; full board
Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park Early morning breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and take a boat trip on Lake Mburo looking for a variety of bird species and wild game. Rwakobo Rock (full board)
Day 9: After breakfast, transfer to Kampala; and head direct to Murchison falls National Park reaching in the late evening.
A journey from Lake Mburo is approximately 21/2 hours to Kampala. You will have a brief stop in
Kampala for refreshments or snacks then proceed to Murchison falls National Park. Lunch in Masindi
Then proceed to the park. Overnight and dinner Fort Murchison lodge. Full board.
Day 10: Game drive and Launch Cruise on the Nile.
After an early morning breakfast, go for a morning game drive to watch out for other wildlife species. i.e. Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants and Lions. Return in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, go for the boat cruise on the Nile River, up to the bottom of the falls. Then a hike to the top of the falls, you are able to view the refreshing spray as the second world’s longest river, the mighty Nile thunders through different rapids from a 7 meter gap to fall over 40 meters below the ground. Dinner and overnight Fort Murchison Lodge. Full board
Day 11: After breakfast, have Morning game drive as you head out of the park to Kampala. Lunch at your hotel Silver Springs Hotel. Overnight and diner.
Day 12: after breakfast, the Source of the Nile Jinja’s main tourist attraction, There is a picnic site and a plaque at the spot where Speke became the first European to see the source of the Nile. Lunch, thereafter a 2hours boat trip to the source point with a view of water birds, Monkeys, Monitor lizards and many more. Gately On the Nile Hotel. (You can either do bungee jumping or white water rafting AT AN EXTRA COST). Return to Kampala – a brief stop at Sezibwa falls! Check in Silver Springs Hotel for diner and overnight.
Day 13: Reserved for departure.
